Thrift size doesn't fit or why I stopped stressing over thrift sizing (and the little button hack that helped)

So I’ve been thrifting for years now. Mostly because I love the hunt, the weird stuff, and yeah... clothes are way too expensive when its new?? But also, let’s be real sizing is the worst part!!
Like, I’ll find this incredible pair of trousers or the PERFECT skirt, and then... the waist is just off. Too loose or squeezing me like a sausage. And vintage sizing? Ugh....
Anyway. For the longest time I’d just pass on stuff that didn’t fit perfectly, which sucks because you know you’re not gonna find that piece again. I tried belts but they kinda mess with the vibe sometimes, especially if the piece is high-waisted or doesn't have loops. And I'm not about to go get things tailored for $30 when I paid $7.
So recently I found this random thing - a little waist button you just pop onto your waistband to make it tighter. No sewing, no tools. You literally just stick it in, move the button where you want it, and boom, pants fit. I was skeptical at first, not gonna lie, but it actually works!
Now I grab stuff that's "almost my size" all the time. If it fits everywhere else but the waist is a bit off? Doesn’t matter. Button fixes it. I’ve used it on jeans, skirts, vintage pants, you name it.
Plus it's kinda cute that I don’t have to commit. Like if I wanna wear something looser one day (bloated, anyone?) I just take it off. Easy.
Anyway. Not trying to sell you anything, just genuinely wish I’d known about these sooner. Especially if you're into thrifting and sick of missing out on good stuff because the fit is slightly off. Grab a couple of these little buttons and thank me later lol. That's also how I started this little business, it all started with the struggle of getting clothes to fit
